27th April 2004 Other: Dahab Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Max Speed: Distance Covered: Another day with no wind forcast, started to get a little worried now ( been told wind will arrive tonight) Windsurf centre arranged a free trip out on the glass bottomed boat to the reef for some snorkeling Had some good views of the reef from the bottom of the boat first time I have been on a glass bottom boat. As there was no wind which meant no swell either the boat took us out past the far reef into number 3 windsurfing area so I can say Ive been to kamikazi at Dahab just not windsurfing. We jumped off the boat with snokeling gear and swam around the reef checking out the fish and coral. I managed to find a great spot where swiming over the shallow coral there was a deeper trench stuffed full of fish that I could drift along with the current. Getting back to the boat we had some fun swimming under the boat and looking up through the glass at the people who wasn't snorkeling A great snorkling trip |
